Gastroenterologist opening in beautiful Holland, MI - independent hospital, ERCP possible
Overview
Seeking BE/BC Gastroenterologists to join team in beautiful Holland, MI on Michigan's west coast, just SW of Grand Rapids. Live and work in one of the most gorgeous areas of the US with one of the few remaining truly independent hospitals left in Michigan.
Responsibilities
Team: 2 Physicians and 3 PAs, with plan to hire 2 more MD/DOs to be fully staffed
Minimal outpatient office work (2 days per month on average) with about 12 patients per day on outpatient days
Role is mostly endoscopy and in-patient rounding
ERCP possible if there is interest
Volume: inpatient - 6-10 that PAs help with and 10-15 endoscopies a day. Hospital does roughly 6000 endoscopies a year.
Call: 1:6 weeks with PAs on office call with physicians as backup. Additional pay is given if do more than 7 days a call a month.

Reflux program with dedicated RN navigator
Capsule endoscopy done in office
ASGE certified endoscopy reflux center
EMR: Cerner in hospital and eClinicalWorks in office, with a planned transition to Epic coming.
Compensation & Benefits
Base rate of $600-650K depending on experience, 2 year contract. 2 year guarantee plus production from day 1, plus additional quality bonus based on charting.

PSLF loan forgiveness program eligible, plus hospital also gives up to $75K over PSLF, paid out monthly over 5 years
Stipend available for current fellows with signed contract
Malpractice plus tail
$5K CME
Not an academic institution but if you would like to have students rotate with you, that is something the hospital can arrange
