Line Cook (Part Time)

They are creators, architects, nurses, researchers, programmers, marketers, facilitators, developers, investors, and caregivers, all focused on making a positive impact on the lives of residents, their families and team members.We are looking for a Line Cook to join our amazing team!Responsibilities:Provide a high level of culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experienceWork closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programsMaintain kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all timesResponsible for the opening and/or closing of the kitchenAdhere to cleaning schedules as assigned. Ensures that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to Company standardsEstimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies and communicates needs to Director of Culinary Services or assistant Director of Culinary ServicesParticipate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menusDocument temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezerPrepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all timesKeep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptiedAssist with the transportation and storage of food and suppliesAssist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme mealsWill attend pre-meal stand up in kitchen prior to meal serviceMay perform other duties as needed and/or assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environmentFood handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standardsAble to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logsConnect and help residents transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement at every level of interactionAbility to build positive and strong relationships with team members, coworkers, and residentsFocused and dedicated to providing excellent customer serviceAbility to handle multiple jobs and prioritiesAccept direction from superiors or other experienced staffShares job knowledge or resident information with others as neededGive and welcome feedbackOperate and Maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary mannerAbility to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidaysBenefitsWe offer a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life and voluntary life, 401k with employer matching, paid holidays, and up to 20 days PTO in the first three years.
