Principal Python Software Engineer

As a Principal Python Software Engineer, you will have expertise in full-stack web application and database development to help us build scalable, data-driven platforms that empower businesses to manage cyber risks effectively. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy robust and efficient software solutions. You’ll work with modern Python frameworks and build intuitive user experiences using frontend technologies. Responsibilities: · Design, develop, debug, test, and deploy high-performance web applications. · Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, adhering to coding standards and best practices. · Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles, maintainability, and security best practices. · Apply computational thinking to break down complex technical and business challenges into structured, scalable solutions. · Prioritize usability and accessibility, ensuring a seamless user experience. · Collaborate with Quality Assurance to support testing efforts, resolve defects, and improve software reliability. · Contribute to the implementation of best practices, including documentation, tooling, and development methodologies. · Participate in architectural discussions and technical design reviews to drive innovation and efficiency. · Effectively communicate progress with teams, leadership, and stakeholders. · Exhibit strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, proactively addressing challenges. · Take on additional software engineering responsibilities as needed to support team objectives. Knowledge & Skills Requirements: · 10+ years of experience with Python, including backend development with frameworks such as Django or Flask. · 10+ years of experience with full-stack web development, including HTML, JavaScript (React/Vue), and CSS. · 10+ years of experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and familiarity with Elasticsearch. · 10+ years of experience building RESTful APIs and working with service-oriented architectures (SOA, RESTful/SOAP). · 10+ years of experience with software development tools, including Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. · 10+ years of experience working in an Agile environment with a strong understanding of SCRUM methodologies. · Proficiency with technical documentation and workflow tools, such as JIRA and Confluence. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
