Developer Relations Engineer

We are partnering with a company that builds AI-powered solutions and tools for developers and businesses. As the company grows its developer-facing products, it's looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to build the bridge between the engineering team and the external developer community.About the RoleAs a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll be one of the primary voices connecting our platform to the developers who build on it. You'll create technical content, contribute to and maintain documentation, engage directly with the developer community, and channel feedback back into the product roadmap. This is a hands-on, hybrid role - part builder, part educator, part community advocateThis role is onsite in downtown SF with a salary range of up to $200k depending on experienceWhat You'll DoWrite and maintain high-quality technical content: tutorials, sample apps, quickstarts, and blog posts that help developers succeed with our APIs/SDKsBuild and maintain developer documentation, code samples, and reference implementationsEngage with the developer community across channels (GitHub, Discord/Slack, forums, social media) — answering questions, gathering feedback, and building relationshipsRepresent Neywa Labs at meetups, conferences, hackathons, and webinars — through talks, workshops, or demosPartner closely with Product and Engineering to translate developer feedback into product improvements and prioritize DX (developer experience) fixesPrototype and ship small tools, integrations, or demo apps that showcase the platform's capabilitiesTrack and report on developer engagement metrics (adoption, activation, community health, content performance)Help define and evolve the company's developer onboarding experience end-to-endWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, technical writing, or a hands-on software engineering role with strong communication skillsProficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) and comfort working with APIs/SDKsA track record of creating clear, developer-friendly technical content (docs, blog posts, tutorials, or video/talks)Experience engaging with and building developer communities (open source, Discord, forums, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiencesComfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and MarketingGenuine interest in AI/ML tooling and the developer ecosystem around itNice to HavePrior experience at an early-stage or high-growth startupPublic speaking experience (conferences, meetups, webinars)Experience with AI/ML APIs, LLM tooling, or agentic frameworksOpen-source contributions or a visible technical presence (GitHub, blog, X/Twitter)
