Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoEnsure safety programs are compliant (Injury Illness Prevention, Hazard Identification, Hazard Control and Correction, CMC safety regulations, policies and procedures)Conduct New Employee Orientation trainingConduct OSHA compliance trainingMonitor, organize and administer OSHA and CMC documentation complianceVisit job sites a majority of the time requiring field interaction with contractor and identify areas of risk and hazardsMonthly physical plant inspectionIdentify areas of risk and hazardsAdvise each Branch Manager on compliance with OSHA and CMC safety regulations and policiesPrepare job specific safety plans for the customer, foreman, and project managers to include AHA’s, SDS’s, EAP, and CMC safety programs and policiesMonitor, organize and if necessary, administer required training and certifications for each branch employeeCompletion and filing of all required OSHA and insurance documentation (OSHA 300, OSHA 301 and First Report of Injury)What You'll NeedMinimum 5 years of experience in a safety management roleBi-lingual English/Spanish preferredWorking knowledge experience of Safety managementExperience working with health and safety regulatory compliance agencies at the local, state and federal levelsExperience working with / in state workers compensation systemExperience in analyzing information in accident / incident investigationsExperience with Safety Auditing preferredMust possess great interpersonal skills causing influence and change in the area of safetyPossesses verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct presentations and training coursesAbility to prioritize and multitask responsibilities dailyProficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPointYour EducationHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
