Titan America is currently seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to work in our Sterling, VA facility and throughout Northern Virginia. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform maintenance and repair various types of mobile equipment in the company shop or on public roadways, as necessary, and maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.

Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repair of Mixer Trucks, Loaders, and other heavy equipment
Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics, and basic welding
Analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders, and diagrams to troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment
Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and scheduling
Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMI); troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment; ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of components
Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
Complete required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Work under limited supervision using written or verbal instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
Identify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize truck utilization and plant productivity
Communicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goals
Maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs
Qualifications
Required Experience
1-2 years related experience and/or training in automotive or commercial vehicle repair
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical systems, air conditioning, air brakes, and computer diagnostics
Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling
Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred
Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solve, E7 or MP7 engine experience preferred
Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus
CDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL license
Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job
Must provide own tools
High school diploma or equivalent

Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and lifting to 75 lbs.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime
Ability to pass pre-employment processes, including a criminal background check, physical, and drug screen
Travel between local sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the time
