Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital MedicineThe Department of Pediatrics seeks a dynamic and innovative full-time Professor or Associate Professor Academic Hospitalist to lead its Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando, FL.Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. Academic appointments will be held at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, with academic rank commensurate with experience.Responsibilities include:Providing strategic and operational leadership across all mission areas to maintain and grow clinical, educational, and research programs.Guiding faculty development and participating in the clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.Mentoring faculty, trainees, and medical students.Managing a team of hospitalists and advanced practice providers.Collaborating with leaders and professionals from multiple specialties and regional physicians and referring institutions.Developing innovative models of care delivery.Qualifications:Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) with a subspecialty certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.Experienced in delivering high-quality clinical care and ensuring good outcomes for patients and families.Strong commitment to the education of residents and fellows.Experience with populations facing economic, health, and educational disparities; cultural sensitivity and passion for improving health of underserved populations.Scholarly activity demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and participation in specialty societies.Experience applying for and obtaining research funding.Ability to mentor and guide professional development of team members.Personality grounded in partnering, collegiality, and consensus-building.Comfortable forging new paths and working with ambiguity.Passion for building and supporting new programs and garnering support to meet objectives.Our institution is committed to being a diverse, equitable, inclusive and anti-racist workplace and is an Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action employer.
