The position will also coordinate and utilize supplier resources to achieve targeted goals.</span></p><p> </p><h3><span style=font-size: 16.0px;><strong>DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></h3><ul><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports achievement of metalworking (MW) sales and gross margin goals for their geographical area of responsibility.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports accelerated MW sales growth within identified MW targeted Accounts.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports accelerated MW sales growth with our strategic suppliers and in all MW categories.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports Control Point customer vending opportunities to deliver MW growth, achievement of cost savings goals and assist in the achievement of key district metalworking accounts.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Drives cost savings through manufacturing process improvements within our core and National Account metalworking customers for market share gains.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Maintains a MW Opportunity Funnel in salesforce.com to track progress and success on cost savings activities.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Logs customer engagement activities into salesforce.com</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Provides technical support for metalworking application opportunities to the sales team and customers </span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Coordinates local MW supplier support for tool testing in support of the sales team.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Assists Regional Manager&#x27;s and District Managers as needed in coordinating supplier involvement in regional or branch meetings.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports strategic supplier initiatives driven by the Category and Metalworking Management Team.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Provides local exclusive brand technical and brand support.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Delivers company innovations effectively, including MSC MillMaxTM, TechMate and any new</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Executes Customer Needs Analysis within our metalworking and manufacturing customers</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Analysis of current manufacturing processes with recommendations for improvement</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Supports the MSC Culture within all the undertakings of internal and external customer engagement to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC&#x27;s mission.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. </span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC&#x27;s vision and unity of purpose.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required</span></ul><p> </p><p><span style=font-size: 16.0px;><strong>*INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIES</strong></span></p><p><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>To perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.</span></p><p> </p><h3><span style=font-size: 16.0px;><strong>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:</strong></span></h3><ul><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>High school diploma required.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>2 – 5 years hands-on machining applications experience or demonstrated proficiency in MW applications required.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Engineering education, experience or background preferred.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Manufacturing process experience preferred.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Previous field sales experience with a distributor or metalworking tooling manufacturer is preferred.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Previous experience with machining productivity improvement or cost savings initiatives preferred.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Well-rounded proficiency across broad range of metalworking applications is preferred.</span></ul><p> </p><p><span style=font-size: 16.0px;><strong>SKILLS:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Good communication skills are required.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Ability to work with cross-functional teams.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Experience analyzing data preferred. </span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Experience in CNC programming preferred </span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Programs.</span></ul><p> </p><h3><span style=font-size: 16.0px;><strong>OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</strong></span></h3><ul><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>A valid driver&#x27;s license and the ability to travel are required.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Due to federal regulations and the nature of the job all applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees.</span><li><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ("ITAR") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ("CUI").</span></ul><p><span style=font-size: 16.0px;>Compensation starting at $69274 - $108859 plus commission opportunities depending on experience.</span></p>&a
