Clinical Staff Pharmacist

At Schaffner Pharmacy, we take a hands-on approach to patient care. Our pharmacists are actively involved in working with patients to enhance their health. Our pharmacy has received the Best of the Best of Skagit County award for best pharmacy the last two years, the 2023 AlignRx Pinnacle award, and the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce Best Small Business of 2023 Award. The pharmacy actively participates in multiple grant studies and is at the forefront of the medical billing of pharmacist-provided clinical services. The work environment at Schaffner Pharmacy is both exciting and dynamic, making it an ideal practice site for enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacists. Our award-winning boutique coffee shop on the premises allows for self prescribing of caffeinated beverages and delicious baked goods. The clinical staff pharmacist is responsible for overseeing all clinical activities within the pharmacy during their shift. Utilizing their clinical judgment, they deliver optimal care to our patients and advise local providers on clinical questions. Beyond the traditional dispensing duties, our pharmacists engage in a multifaceted role, offering vaccine assessments, administering vaccines, providing travel medicine services, conducting opiate review assessments and prescribing naloxone, conducting our test-to-treat protocol for influenza, COVID, and strep. Additionally, they manage chronic diseases through a comprehensive Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreement granting prescriptive authority to initiate and modify therapy. Applicants must hold a valid Washington State Pharmacists license, an up to date BLS certificate, and possess a passion for independent community pharmacy. We are seeking a pharmacist who surpasses the routine task of verifying prescriptions, aspiring for an individual who can seamlessly integrate into our patients' healthcare teams as a trusted member.
