Floral/Produce Merchandiser

Details: 37 – 40 hrs a week $16 – $22 per hour Benefits We are looking for a friendly, self-motivated, and independent worker to merchandise floral and food & beverage products at local Target stores. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and requires access to an automobile, since the employee will drive a designated route. Key responsibilities include stocking and maintaining high-quality displays to ensure freshness, while also maximizing their sales potential by arranging products attractively. In addition to stocking duties, the role may involve monitoring inventory levels and communicating with store management about stock needs. Successful candidates will be proactive, possess strong interpersonal skills for collaboration, and demonstrate the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision. Duties, Skills, & Requirements Although extensive travel is not required, the job is merchandising in several different store locations. More extensive travel may be required on occasion Pull products from each store’s designated area in the back room and bring them to the display/sales floor Check for bad flowers; check products for sell-by-date expirations or other defects Check plant soil and water if needed Monitor inventory levels Display safety signs Clean all surfaces of the display and follow standards and schematics Clean the floor around the display of any spilled water, soil, and debris Communicate and give reports via company-approved communication apps, including taking pictures to be uploaded to our reporting app with a smartphone This includes: the displays before service, remaining back stock of floral, food and beverage products, any damaged items, the display after the service, vendor portal sign in/out Communicate to store management regarding the status of the displays when finished Performs other related duties as assigned Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of retail merchandising best practices Creativity and a knowledge of how to best present products Education and Experience: Some experience with merchandising, retail sales, or floral work preferred Valid Driver’s License required Current Auto Insurance required Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Must be able to use/willing to learn to use a pallet jack and flat cart Must have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach to complete assigned tasks Schedule Certain Holidays The scheduling is flexible, but best in the morning and early afternoon Experience Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred) Floral/Plant: 1 year (Preferred)
