We develop complex, radiation effects mitigated, designs that balance competing requirements in modern space programs, delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable our customers to achieve more in space.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team building embedded systems and space electronics. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from conception to completion. This role bridges the gap between technical engineering and project management, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverablesDevelop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlinesProvide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management Ensure process and quality compliance through the development lifecycle Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project successBe a servant-leader to the team, removing blockers and fostering collaboration Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)Monitor KPIs and adjust plans to meet performance targetsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimizationAbility to support travel or off-site work, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or related technical field) and 6 years of related experience, OR 4 years of related experience with a Master’s degree. Experience with PCB design, hardware bring-up, and electronics manufacturing processesWorking knowledge of engineering principles and project lifecycle managementProficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD)4+ years of experience in embedded systems development2+ years of experience in project engineering or project managementPreferred QualificationsPMP or PE certificationCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)Experience delivering space qualified productsTrident Systems reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
