Job TitleProduct Manager – Mobile SDKs (iOS & Android)Contract: 6 monthsLocation: Chicago, IL or Austin, TX preferred | Remote considered Role OverviewBraintree is seeking a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of its iOS and Android Mobile SDKs, which are used by a global developer community to build and maintain payment integrations. This is a highly technical, externally facing role focused on enabling merchants, supporting large enterprise accounts, and delivering best-in-class developer experiences across mobile platforms.The ideal candidate brings deep mobile product management experience, understands how iOS and Android ecosystems differ, and can effectively partner with engineering, developer relations, legal, marketing, and sales to take SDK products from concept through launch and adoption. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & DeliveryOwn the product strategy and roadmap for Braintree’s iOS and Android SDKsDrive major and minor SDK releases, including versioning strategy and prioritizationMaintain and manage Jira project timelines, ensuring epics are healthy, clearly scoped, and aligned to delivery milestonesHelp prioritize high-impact work and shepherd cross-functional requests across multiple workstreamsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with engineering managers, mobile engineers, and developer relations to prioritize features and deliver high-quality SDK releasesCollaborate with internal product managers across PayPal and Braintree to evaluate and align on cross-platform and cross-product initiativesWork closely with legal, marketing, sales, and GTM teams to ensure products are launch-ready and positioned for adoptionDeveloper Experience & DocumentationWrite and maintain external and internal integration guides and technical documentationCommunicate new features and SDK updates to both internal stakeholders and the external developer communityEnsure a best-in-class developer experience across mobile SDKsMerchant & Platform InsightGather and synthesize feedback from merchants, partners, and internal stakeholders, including Braintree’s largest enterprise accountsUnderstand how merchants integrate, common pain points, and opportunities across payment methods (including LPMs)Stay current on iOS and Android platform changes, OS updates, and app store policies to ensure ongoing SDK compatibility and complianceMetrics & PerformanceDefine and track success metrics related to SDK adoption, integration health, and usageLeverage data to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and inform roadmap decisions Required Qualifications5+ years of Product Management experience with a strong focus on mobile productsHands-on experience with iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) product development lifecyclesStrong technical acumen with a clear understanding of how mobile platforms differ and how SDKs are built and consumedProven experience using Jira and Confluence for product delivery and documentationWorking experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar)Strong communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling product story and influence stakeholders Nice to HaveDirect experience managing Mobile SDKs (vs. consumer-facing mobile apps)API product experienceBackground supporting developer platforms, payments, or ecommerce ecosystems Ideal BackgroundPrevious experience at companies such as Stripe, Block, Shopify, Google, Meta, or other payments, ecommerce, or developer-platform-focused organizationsComfortable operating in externally facing roles where the output is leveraged by a global developer communityExperience supporting large enterprise merchants and complex integrationsCompensation: $55-$60/hour
