Assembler I (Wire Harness / Electronics)

Pay Range: $20 – $23 per hour (DOE)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assembler to join our production team. This role is responsible for building and assembling wire harnesses and related electronic components in accordance with customer specifications, route sheets, and company workmanship standards.
This position plays an essential role in ensuring product quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly (Primary Focus)
Build wire harness assemblies according to route sheets, drawings, and workmanship standards
Assemble and attach wires, connectors, sleeving, labels, and hardware per specifications
Strip, crimp, prepare, and label wire as required
Operate wire cutting and stripping machines, manual and semi-automatic crimping tools, and other assigned tooling
Read and interpret low-complexity drawings, schematics, and flowcharts
Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
Identify and properly use hand tools (e.g., Phillips vs. Pozidriv screws)
Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures
Account for materials, labeling, and packaging requirements
Quality & Standards Support
Adhere to BCP Systems workmanship standards at all times
Maintain clean and organized work area
Assist in troubleshooting minor assembly issues
Become IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified (minimum Module 1)
Support team members as needed to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
Ability to receive and understand verbal instructions (English proficiency required; conditional exceptions may apply)
Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to new systems
Ability to read and comprehend route sheets and assembly instructions
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
Experience in manufacturing or cable assembly preferred but not required
On-the-job training provided
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise level
Regular sitting, standing, bending, and walking
Frequent use of hands to handle tools and components
Works under normal supervision following established procedures
