Purchasing/Warehouse Specialist

DescriptionPlan and organize the comprehensive purchasing functions for Comfort Flow Heating to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. Work in conjunction with purchasing and warehouse personnel. Achieve department objectives and goals within budget.Strong ability to prioritize tasks, plan and manage projects and activitiesAbility to operate standard office equipmentBasic math skills including the use of fractions, percentages, and/or ratiosKnowledge of federal and state purchasing regulationsValid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insuranceKnowledge of company policies and proceduresAbility to work with and manage a diverse group of employees and suppliersFlexibility to work in changing conditions, work on multiple projects, dealing with frequent interruptions and changing prioritiesMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screenPlan, organize and evaluate purchasing activities of Comfort Flow HeatingAssist in developing purchasing policies and proceduresSelect vendors for various materials, equipment and suppliesDetermine or negotiate contract terms and conditions. Award supplier contracts or recommend contract awardsEstablish appropriate inventory levels, commit to minimum/maximum levelsAssist in training new employees for warehouse departmentReview requisitions orders for accuracyVerify that materials, equipment and supply stock are available from current inventoriesSource and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers, prepare purchase ordersCalculate cost of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accountsWork with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and other issues that may ariseOversee maintenance and repairs of all company vehiclesRequirementsMinimum High School diploma or equivalent is requiredDegree in business, materials management, operations management or related field is preferredJob related experience within specialized field is requiredContinually exercises good judgement and discretionAnalytical skillsProblem-solvingEfficiency of employees under supervisionAttention to detailJ-18808-Ljbffr
