Lead Software Engineer (Intelligence Center)

Overview In this role you will deliver modern software capabilities and champion secure, scalable architecture to support national space missions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy and roadmaps, prioritizing customer-centric outcomes. You’ll design and operate data workflows, build resilient backend services, and lead architecture reviews to raise engineering standards. This is a mission-driven role at MITRE’s National Space Program, focused on reducing risk and accelerating space modernization. You will influence the tech stack and governance while mentoring engineers and delivering impact for critical national missions.
