DevSecOps Engineer / Cloud Administrator (AWS)

TechFlow is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer / Cloud Administrator (AWS) to support a mission-critical DoD software development and modernization program in Montgomery, AL. This program provides software development and technical support services to sustain, enhance, and optimize a critical customer system through secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.In this role, you will lead the implementation and administration of the program's DevSecOps ecosystem, supporting secure software delivery across Cloud One (AWS) environments. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), integrating security and compliance automation, administering cloud infrastructure, and ensuring reliable, secure deployment of mission-critical applications. Working closely with software engineers, database administrators, architects, testers, and cybersecurity stakeholders, you will help accelerate software delivery while maintaining the highest standards of security, reliability, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, maintain, and continuously improve fully automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or other Government-approved toolsDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible or equivalent technologies to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS cloud environmentsAdminister and support all Cloud One (AWS) environments, ensuring system availability, performance, security, and complianceIntegrate automated security capabilities into the software development lifecycle, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Open Source Analysis (OSA), container security scanning, and related DevSecOps toolsGenerate, maintain, and remediate Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) findings in accordance with program security and compliance requirementsManage containerized application deployments using Docker and container orchestration technologiesImplement secure secrets management, credential protection, and automated backup and disaster recovery processes for DevSecOps infrastructure and toolingSupport production software releases by developing installation plans, infrastructure deployment packages, data migration scripts, STIG documentation, and Infrastructure as Code artifactsMaintain deployment artifacts within the program's binary repository and support high deployment success rates through automation and continuous improvementMonitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot deployment and operational issues, and rapidly resolve production incidentsCollaborate with software development teams to improve build automation, release processes, infrastructure scalability, and application reliabilityEnsure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, configuration management standards, and secure cloud operating practicesRequirementsCritical geographical requirement: Candidates must have the ability to report to the customer's location in Montgomery, AL within two (2) hours of notification. Primary residence must be within 60 miles of Montgomery, AL. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps engineering and AWS cloud administrationHands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar automation platformsExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or comparable automation frameworksProficiency with AWS cloud services and administration of cloud-based production environmentsExperience with Docker, containerization technologies, and container orchestration platformsExperience integrating security tools such as SAST, DAST, Open Source Analysis (OSA), container scanning, and SBOM management into CI/CD pipelinesExperience implementing secure configuration management, secrets management, and automated deployment processesFamiliarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and secure cloud environmentsStrong troubleshooting, automation, scripting, and systems engineering skillsActive Secret Security Clearance Preferred QualificationsAWS Certification, such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps EngineerExperience supporting Air Force Cloud One environmentsExperience supporting DoD software modernization programsFamiliarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platformsExperience with Terraform or additional Infrastructure as Code toolsKnowledge of RMF accreditation processes and DevSecOps best practicesExperience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, or PrometheusExperience supporting high-availability cloud architectures and disaster recovery planningBenefitsFounded in 1995 at the start of the dot-com revolution, TechFlow helped large commercial clients such as DreamWorks, Toshiba, MGM, and others modernize their business systems.
