A key Optimus client is looking for a high-motor, commercially aggressive Junior Gasoline Broker to join their growing physical refined products desk. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to break into the physical gasoline markets and learn directly from experienced brokers covering USGC, pipeline, barge, terminal, and wholesale gasoline flows.You will gain direct exposure to the day-to-day movement of barrels, market color, logistics constraints, pricing dislocations, and the relationship dynamics that drive deal flow between refiners, wholesalers, traders, and downstream buyers.This is a front-line commercial development role built for someone who wants to become a trusted market voice and future producing broker. This role is built for someone with the grit, competitiveness, and commercial curiosity to thrive in a brokerage environment.Candidates please send your resume to your Optimus Recruiter or Jennifer.Hibbetts@optimus-us.com.What You’ll Be Doing:Work alongside senior brokers to support spot physical gasoline transactions and day-to-day market executionSpend significant time on the phone gathering live market color, bids, offers, and off-market interestDevelop relationships with refiners, wholesalers, fuel distributors, jobbers, traders, and storage/terminal participantsTrack USGC gasoline pricing, Colonial movements, barge markets, rack dislocations, and terminal shortagesHelp identify where prompt barrels can clear and which counterparties are natural homes for flowSupport recap, confirmation, and communication between both sides of the transactionMonitor refinery outages, blending economics, freight constraints, and regional supply shiftsBuild internal market sheets covering RBOB, CBOB, premium, conventional, and blend component movementsShadow senior brokers on customer conversations and gradually take ownership of smaller relationshipsLearn how to convert market intelligence into repeat customer flow and brokerage revenueIdeal BackgroundBachelor’s degree required0–3 years of experience in commodities, brokerage, wholesale fuels, logistics, trading support, or commercial sales (candidates with some commodities experience is strongly preferred)Strong interest in physical gasoline and refined products marketsExcellent communication and relationship-building instinctsNaturally competitive, resilient, and energized by fast decision-makingStrong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to connect market headlines to physical movement of barrelsPer our client's specifications, candidates are required to be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US.
