We partner with mission-driven clients to deliver flexible, high-quality financial leadership.Position SummaryWe’re seeking a Nonprofit Controller / Senior Staff Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of nonprofit clients. This role ensures GAAP compliance, supports strategic decision-making, and maintains strong internal controls.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day accounting (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash management)Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsEnsure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting standardsAssist with Form 990, audits, and regulatory filingsMonitor grant compliance and restricted vs. unrestricted fundsLead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisPrepare financial statements and present insights to clients/leadershipManage accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Real Page)Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal controlsSupervise and mentor staff (as applicable)What We're Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)5-10+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofitStrong knowledge of fund accounting and grant managementExperience with QuickBooks or similar systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferredExperience with nonprofit boards and finance committeesFederal/state grant compliance experienceAdvanced Excel skillsJob Details:Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualificationsFull-Time | Flexible/Remote WorkBenefits:Medical, Dental & HSA (with employer contribution)Simple IRA with employer matchPTO, paid holidays, life and short-term disability (company sponsored)Ready to Join?If you're eager to contribute to a team that values your expertise and offers a chance to grow, we'd love to hear from you!
