Experience Dental Assistant NeededSeeking an experienced dental assistant for a full-time role split between two practices, Buford and Sugar Hill!Job duties include:Greeting patients in the waiting area and escorting them to the operatory.Assisting the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.Maintaining a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.Reviewing the health history, making chart entries under the direction of the dentist, and assuring completion of forms and signatures.Assuming the responsibility associated with any duties that may be delegated by the dentist.Familiarizing the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and providing support and compassion when needed.Stocking operatories and maintaining clinical supply inventory.Reviewing the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.Assisting in front office procedures if time allows or need is determined by the dentist or office manager.Supervising preventive maintenance of dental equipment.Taking digital radiographs.Following practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program, and emergency treatment.May perform the following procedures:Remove excess cement from supragingival surfaces of teeth with hand instrument or floss.Size stainless steel crowns, temporary crowns, and bands.Temporary cementation and removal of temporary crowns and removal of orthodontic bands.Placement of orthodontic separators.Placement and ligation of arch wires.Placement of post-extraction and periodontal dressings.Take bite registrations for diagnostic models for case study only.Requirements:2+ years of previous chairside dental assisting experience.Ability to commute to both Buford and Sugar Hill.Compensation:Based on experience up to $24.00/hour.Full-time employees receive access to our comprehensive benefit package.Full-time schedule:Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in Buford 7:00am 5:00pm.Thursdays and Fridays in Sugar Hill:Thursdays 7:30am 5:00pm.Fridays 7:30am - 1:00pm.No weekends!
