DESCRIPTION OF SERVICESClient requires the services of one (1) Software Engineer 2 - Java,Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.(IT Division) seeks Workers to perform in a Software Engineer roleto assist in planning and coordinating continued modernization development activities for the DFPS complexcasework management system (IMPACT), PEIRS, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Incentives and Remedies,Community Based Care, and other operational projects. The Workers will work with technical teams comprising oftechnical team leads, developers, user interface/user experience engineers, and technical/functional testing analysts.The Workers will facilitate meetings, elicit project details and document requirements for development projectsfocused on continuing modernization activities of existing DFPS Enterprise Java web applications. The Workerswill also work in concert with various technical leads (e.g., PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources) toprioritize assigned work and develop recommendations, options, and alternatives as required.The Software Engineer 2 (Java Developer) is responsible for the modernization of existing DFPS’s Enterprise webapplications, following established standards, quality attributes, and design specifications. The Workers will beworking on teams consisting of Developers, UX engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Manager.
