This position is for our client - a leading financial and professional services company, with footprint in multiple US cities.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Database developer - Strong SQL skill - with experience in Reports and Migrating legacy systems - specifically SSRS to PowerBI. The ask is specific. We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with some experience in Aderant Expert and Expert Sierra to manage, optimize, and modernize our legal business intelligence and reporting infrastructure. You will oversee our SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) portfolio, maintain existing Aderant reports, and lead the migration of legacy Aderant reports into Expert Sierra and Microsoft Power BI.Operating within the legal sector demands an uncompromising approach to data integrity. The ideal candidate will ensure fully compliant financial report generation and maintenance with the stringent privacy mandates.Key Responsibilities:Report Migration: Re-engineer and migrate legacy Aderant Expert reports to Expert Sierra cloud environments and dynamic Power BI dashboards.Maintenance & Support: Support, troubleshoot, and update existing MS SSRS and native Aderant operational reports.Data Modeling: Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions optimized for Aderant database schemas.Business Intelligence: Collaborate with finance, legal operations, and executive leadership to translate complex billing and operational data into actionable Power BI visualizations.Data Governance: Ensure high performance, accuracy, and security standards across all reporting solutions and database integrations.Required Qualifications & Experience: Core Expertise: Proven track record with Aderant Expert (including Expert Sierra architectures) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).Database Skills: Advanced T-SQL performance tuning, stored procedure development, and data modeling within legal enterprise systems.BI Capabilities: Demonstrated hands-on experience building Power BI datasets, DAX, and report interfaces.Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal practice management concepts (timekeeping, billing, WIP, AR, and financial reporting).Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline).
