Job Title: Bilingual Benefits Education Specialist (English/Spanish)The Role in a NutshellAre you a "people person" who loves helping others navigate important life decisions? As our Bilingual Education Specialist, you will be the face of our brokerage. You won’t just be pushing paper—you’ll be going onsite to our clients to ensure their employees feel confident, informed, and empowered when choosing their benefits. In short, you will be explaining a company's benefit portfolio to it's employees in group settings, individual conversations, phone calls, email; we want to ensure that every one that enrolls with 19:21 has a terrific experience and understands the investment they are making in their insurance plans.What You’ll DoOnsite Advocacy: Travel to client locations to lead open enrollment meetings and provide one-on-one support. The "Translator": Simplify complex insurance jargon into clear, digestible information in both English and Spanish. Enrollment Mastery: Guide employees through the digital enrollment process, ensuring 100% accuracy. Education: Conduct group presentations and Q&A sessions to explain medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits. Problem Solving: Act as a resource for employees who have specific questions about their coverage or provider networks. What We’re Looking ForFluency: Professional-level verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish is required. Knowledge: Previous experience in health insurance, HR, or benefits administration is a major plus. Mobility: Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to various client sites (local/regional). The "Attitude": You’re patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable speaking in front of groups. Tech Savvy: Comfortable with various HRIS/Benefits enrollment platforms, specifically Employee Navigator. Day In The Life8:30 AM - Morning Open Enrollment MeetingYou arrive at XYZ Construction to conduct their annual Open Enrollment meeting during their Monthly Safety Meeting. After an introduction from the HR Manager, you give a group presentation. In your presentation, you go over the benefits offered by the company, explaining terms like deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. After your presentation, you stay to enroll individuals one-on-one (alternating between English and Spanish) and answer individual questions that the employees might have. 11:30 AM - OE Follow UpFollowing your in-person enrollment meeting, you return to the office to check the status of the other clients currently in open enrollment. You then reach out to HR Managers to keep them up to date on those who have not yet completed their enrollment. One of your groups in open enrollment has completed and you let the group contact, internal account manager and internal producer know that changes are ready to be processed by the account manager. 1:00 PM - New Hire Calls and OE RemindersAfter lunch, you begin reaching out to the different employees (across all 19:21 clients) who are coming up on their benefit eligibility dates. In speaking with the employees, you might give them a reminder of the New Hire window, schedule another time to meet more in-depth about their benefits or enroll them over the phone. You also do the same for the individuals whose open enrollment windows are nearing a close. 3:30 PM - Prep For Upcoming Open Enrollment MeetingsYou then begin preparing for upcoming Open Enrollment meetings by reviewing the different benefit material, comparing plans to the year prior, and using a demo employee to walk through the open enrollment flow in Employee Navigator. 4:30 PM - Wrap Up and ReportingTo close the day, you take a few impromptu client calls to answer general questions. You take time to update internal tracking systems and report to your supervisor anything of importance.
