Assistance in the office with hydrologic, hydraulic, and economic computer models will be needed. This position will also assist with drainage inspections, surveying, and mapping of stormwater infrastructure countywide.REQUIREMENTS INCLUDERequires the applicant to be actively taking undergraduate or graduate level courses at an accredited institution to obtain an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree, or be a recent graduate (within past year).Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver's license.Preferred candidate will be a full-time student enrolled in a civil, environmental, or water resources engineering major at an ABET accredited school.A pre-employment background check is required.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLight Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Use of arm and /or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for sedentary work.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position will include a variety of office and field work. Applicant must be able to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
