SMT Pick and Place Machine Operator
Role Overview
Candidate must understand SMT terminology. This person must be knowledgeable of SMT components types and their package size. The operator should be experienced with the total SMT process from set-up, feeders, programming knowledge, stencil, manual and automated printing, solder paste, and reflow ovens. Skills include a comprehensive understanding of IPC standards.

Key Responsibilities
The SMT operator will run and maintain the SMT equipment (paste printer, pick and place, AOI, reflow, conveyors). After training, the operator will also be expected to program jobs.
Job Description:
Duties include operating, maintenance, and any associated tasks related to SMT. Responsibilities will vary and it is expected this individual will be trained to operate and maintain equipment other than SMT equipment.
This person must be capable of running a job through the complete SMT process with minimum supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
Electronic component assembly
IPC-610 training/experience
Computer (Windows)
Knowledge of ESD procedures
Solder paste/stenciling
Ability to problem solve
Mechanical tooling/fixtures
Electronic component recognition
Simple electronic testing (DVM, etc..)
Ability to recommend future automation systems and participate in growth planning
Equipment installation
MS Word and Excel (basics)
Parts database (BOM) software user
Quality focus
