Trade Compliance Consultant Specialist, US Import (FDA/Pharma)

Ensure seamless, compliant US imports for complex biological and pharmaceutical products. R&D Partners is seeking a Trade Compliance Consultant Specialist with expertise in US import processes for biological and pharmaceutical products. This role focuses on building and operationalizing a Trade Compliance Master Database while ensuring compliance with FDA, CBP, USDA, and other regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:Primary Priority:Develop a practical, day-to-day Trade Compliance Master Database as an operational tool.Train relevant team members on the implementation and use of the database.Verify and determine Partner Government Agency (PGA) trade data for imported products, including commercial drugs, samples, intermediates, clinical materials, and R&D compounds.Identify and document registration status (registered/unregistered) for all imported products.Create a comprehensive trade database containing all CBP, FDA, USDA (APHIS), and other PGA data to serve as a single source of truth for import declarations. Secondary Priority:Conduct an evaluation of the current state, including risk analysis of the US supply chain.Perform role mapping and regulatory tariff impact analysis. Key Skills and Requirements:Minimum 7 years of in-depth knowledge of import processes for biological and pharmaceutical products into the US, with proven ability to operationalize these processes.Extensive experience working with **FDA requirements** across various product types and stages.Demonstrated expertise in identifying and establishing operational processes aligned with FDA, CBP, and other regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.Proven experience using data analytics to identify risks and optimize procedures.
