Medication Aide

SHIFT: 7 AM- 7 PM and 7 PM- 7 AMPosition Summary:The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Livingresidents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. Thisposition reports to the Wellness Director.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEssential Functions:Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMG guidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.Reports any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation tothe Wellness Director.Responds quickly to all emergencies.Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested bySupervisor.Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information.Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention ofaccidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe workingpractices.Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, andco-workers.Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three monthsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least onecertification and have successful completion of the medication administrationtraining course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
