This role supports food preparation across the property, including The Lookout Food & Drink, Wave Bar, Foam Coffee & Bar, and catering for events and group experiences.This position is ideal for a cook who values consistency, takes pride in quality execution, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced kitchen environment that supports a refined yet approachable guest experience.Why You'll Love Working HereWork within a premier, design-forward waterfront destinationExposure to multiple kitchen concepts and service styles across the propertyA professional kitchen culture focused on quality, consistency, and teamworkOpportunities to support events, group dining, and special occasionsClear standards, systems, and expectations led by experienced culinary leadership What You'll DoPrepare and execute menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to qualityMaintain high standards for food production and presentation at all timesCoordinate food timing to meet guest expectations and operational flowFollow proper food rotation, labeling, and dating procedures to ensure freshnessBreak down and properly store workstation items at the end of each shiftMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and prep environmentMinimize food waste and utilize ingredients efficientlyFollow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen setup proceduresKeep refrigeration and storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintainedAssist in controlling food costs through proper portioning and preparationCommunicate effectively with kitchen staff, front-of-house teams, and managementAssist with daily product purchasing, receiving, and inventory rotationRead and understand Event Orders and contracts to ensure proper menu execution and timingAdapt to different kitchen stations and service demands as business needs evolveSet a positive example through professionalism, teamwork, and work ethicPerform other related duties as assigned What We're Looking ForStrong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesServSafe certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)Experience with kitchen equipment, tools, and maintenance proceduresSolid knife skills and foundational food preparation techniquesCulinary school education preferredMinimum two years of experience using various cooking techniques preferredExperience working in a fast-paced restaurant or similar environment preferredReliable, organized, and able to work well under pressure Physical Requirements & ScheduleAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyComfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical kitchen tasks Ready to Join the Team?If you take pride in your craft, value consistency and teamwork, and want to contribute to a culinary program within a premier waterfront destination, we encourage you to apply.
