Required Skills & ExperienceBA or BS preferred: 1-3 years related experience including experience in planning and purchasing of castings, machined and sheet metal fabricated parts and standard electronic components and hardware.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Work, Excel and OutlookSupply Management skillsKnowledge of MRP systems; Epicor System a plusExposure to manufacturing environment preferredExperience working in a manufacturing environment a mustAbility to interpret manufacturing drawings and knowledge of electronic components and machined and sheet metal parts is requiredMust demonstrate strong organizational skills, negotiation skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with suppliers and co-workersMust be a self-starter with drive for continuous cost improvements and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume environmentIf your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceEpicor experienceJob DescriptionPrepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation to accounting.Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices using Epicor MRP system.Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.Manages vendor relationships through phone and email correspondenceAssist receiving department to ensure timely receipt of materials and assist accounts payable in resolving any invoice discrepancies.Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.Compares and evaluates vendor pricing. xywuqvpTrack orders and ensures timely delivery.
