Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. This role involves working closely with patients, including those with autism, and requires a blend of patience, empathy, and professional skills. Responsibilities Provide direct support and personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer first aid as needed and ensure a safe environment for clients. Assist with patient mobility and heavy lifting when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques, including vital signs monitoring and home health practices. Certification in First Aid is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. A compassionate attitude towards caregiving and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
