A tech services organization in Reston, VA is seeking a new Data Engineer/Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and support cloud-based data integration and infrastructure solutions. This hybrid role combines hands-on engineering across Informatica, AWS, and automation tooling with production support in a collaborative environment.About the Opportunity:Shift: Day shiftSchedule: Monday to FridayHours: Standard businessSetting: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud and the Self-Service WorkbenchLead the setup, configuration, and deployment of cloud environments and related componentsDevelop and maintain scripts to support data workflows, automation, and system operationsAutomate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes within AWS using Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, and PythonBuild, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure while supporting production operations and troubleshooting Qualifications:Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud and the Self-Service WorkbenchExperience setting up and developing Informatica solutions in the cloudProficiency in Python and Unix shell scriptingExperience automating AWS infrastructure provisioning, installation, configuration, or management using Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, or PythonHands-on experience supporting production environments on a 24/7 cycleStrong communication, time management, and technical presentation skills Desired Skills:Experience with Spark, PySpark, AWS Glue, or EMR/HadoopExperience creating and using Terraform modules
