Foster School of Medicine at TTUHSC El Paso is seeking an innovative and collaborative Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education to assist senior leadership in providing oversight of the Graduate Medical Education enterprise through expansion in all areas of the medical school's mission and strategic priorities, and on to the goal of becoming a world-class center of learning and medical education. The required position expertise, as well as documented leadership and administrative abilities, to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of Graduate Medical Education, in accordance with established guidelines, university policy, and/or governmental regulations.MD or DO degreeTexas medical license, or eligibility for Texas medical licensureBoard certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or AOA member boardQualified for faculty appointment in a clinical department of the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor or higherExperience in curriculum development, assessment, and learner evaluation in residency or fellowship programsA minimum of 5 years of experience in graduate medical education administration, such as residency or fellowship program director, assistant or associate dean for GME, departmental vice-chair for education, or comparable leadership role at an ACGME-accredited program(s)Prior service in an institutional GME leadership role such as Designated Institutional Official (DIO), Associate/Assistant DIO, or institutional GME committee (GMEC) membership is preferred but not requiredExperience as a practicing clinician in an academic medical centerApplication InstructionsConfidential inquiries, nominations and applications (CV and Letter of Interest) should be directed to Texas Tech's executive search partner Eric Dickerson: and/or Application Link: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected.EEO/AA Employers.
