Director, AI ML Engineering - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Director AI ML Engineering - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $134,600 – $230,800 annuallyResponsibilities Define and own the engineering AI strategy for accelerating software development and operational efficiency Partner with engineering teams to analyze workflows and identify AI opportunities Develop a prioritized roadmap of AI use cases aligned with business objectives Build data-driven business cases for AI agent investments to achieve productivity gains Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI agents that augment engineering work Oversee the AI agents' lifecycle from proof of value to production deployment Establish analytics and KPIs to continually measure and refine AI solutions Drive engineering enablement and change management for AI adoptionQualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in applied AI, technology strategy, or complex enterprise systems 10+ years leading complex technology initiatives with hands-on engineering or partnership experience Ability to connect AI initiatives to measurable business value using analytics and outcome-based metrics Experience designing and operationalizing AI-powered solutions in real-world environments Deep knowledge of modern AI techniques, particularly large language models and agent frameworks Proven capability in identifying AI opportunities and collaborating with engineering teams for deliveryBenefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase 401k contribution options Flexible remote work arrangements for most employeesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
