Job Title: 01 ElectricianDepartment: FacilitiesReports To: Director of FacilitiesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSUMMARYThe primary function of this position is to ensure all electrical installations, both temporary and permanent, meet the needs of events at Lumen Field and Lumen Field Event Center/WaMu Theater. This position will be the point of contact to plan, coordinate, install or contract installation of temporary event power for over 150 events each year at the venues. This position will be required to work varied hours and/or days depending on event schedules. This position is also responsible for electrical system maintenance, repair or installation, with particular focus on functions requiring 01 Level certification such as installation of new electrical equipment and infrared scanning. The 01 Level Electrician is a skilled, licensed trade person responsible for evaluating, repairing and replacing a variety of electrical facility components to ensure the equipment is fully operational and meets regulatory and leasehold standards. As needed, this position will be involved in corrective and preventive maintenance and minor alteration work and may oversee temporary labor and/or other trades persons or contractors as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Identify electrical requirements for events; coordinating with event managers, event holders, Facilities team and contractorsProvide cost estimates and/or work with contractors to obtain cost estimates for temporary or permanent event power installationsOversee contractors who deploy temporary or permanent event powerProvide event-day electrical support, including responding to issues and coordinating contractor responseMaintain and oversee the use of FGI-owned temporary power equipment, including inventory controlDevelop and place material/equipment/supply orders to conduct work in a timely mannerPerform repairs of any equipment that may be deemed as unsafe during events. This may include lighting, equipment, cords, spider boxes, etc.Proactively check and run diagnostics on electrical systems. Work in cooperation with contractors to perform regular testing and maintenance, including arc flash testing and IR scanningTroubleshoot, diagnose and correct electrical malfunctions. Ensure facility systems are operating properly according to performance specifications. Identify contract work needsRepair, in conjunction with other engineering personnel if necessary, electrical equipment and circuitsMaintain adequate spare parts and supplies. Maintain equipment and supply inventory recordsProvide input on standard operating procedures. Follow preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical machinery, equipment and wiringPerform new installations upon requestPerform repairs of the fire alarm system as assignedPerform lighting scheduling functions as needed using stadium proprietary software programs in both stadium (bowl, suites and venue spaces) and event centerPerform set-up and tear down of electrical needs for private and public eventsAssist in resolving event electrical contract issuesReport any irregularities or damage to supervisorQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ensures that all work orders and all other required documentation related to electrical work is fully completed in a timely fashionAbility to use computerized timekeeping systemMust have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is requiredElectrician license required; EL01 requiredApproved accredited post-secondary vocational or technical school diploma preferred4+ years of event power support preferred4+ years of electrical experience2+ years of experience in a commercial facility. 4+ years of experience (preferred)Thorough understanding of all electrician safety requirements, including use of personal protective equipment, lock-out/tag-out proceduresFamiliar with fall protection procedures, equipment and techniqueAbility to remain flexible in terms of work assignments and scheduled to meet the needs of events and the facilitiesWilling to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when neededUnderstands and adheres to First & Goal Inc. employee policies and proceduresExcellent work ethic, professionalism, strong interpersonal and customer service skillsWorks well in a team setting.
