This role supports reliable plant operations through advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting, preventive maintenance execution, and rapid response to equipment failures while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards.This position serves as a technical resource within the maintenance organization and is expected to independently diagnose complex equipment issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in maintaining site operational reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical & Controls MaintenanceTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility support systemsDiagnose and correct electrical, instrumentation, and controls failures to minimize downtimeSupport operation and maintenance of:Allen Bradley PLC systemsMotor controls and VFDsInstrumentation and calibration systemsElectrical distribution systemsPneumatic and hydraulic systemsRead and interpret:Electrical schematicsP&IDsTechnical manualsWiring diagrams and blueprintsPreventive & Predictive MaintenanceExecute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performanceComplete maintenance work orders accurately and on time within SAP CMMSIdentify recurring failures and recommend corrective actions or reliability improvementsSupport troubleshooting during equipment startups, shutdowns, and process interruptionsGMP Compliance & DocumentationPerform all maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental requirementsEnsure accurate and complete maintenance documentation, including:Work ordersEquipment logsMaintenance formsMaintain tools, parts, and work areas in inspection-ready conditionContinuous Improvement & Technical SupportParticipate in root cause investigations and equipment reliability initiativesRecommend process and equipment improvements to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiencyAssist in training and mentoring junior maintenance techniciansSupport implementation of new equipment, upgrades, and automation improvementsSafetyFollow all lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and safe work practicesActively support site safety initiatives and identify unsafe conditionsUtilize appropriate PPE and comply with all site environmental, health, and safety proceduresMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferredMinimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting experience with:Allen Bradley PLC systemsIndustrial instrumentationAC/DC motors and drivesElectrical distribution systemsExperience using CMMS systems (SAP preferred)Proficient with Windows-based computer systems and maintenance softwarePreferred QualificationsExperience in GMP-regulated manufacturing (pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or chemical)Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologiesExperience with calibration systems and process instrumentationFamiliarity with NFPA 70E electrical safety standardsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilityExperience with high voltage electrical distribution and systemsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMechanical aptitude including basic machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferredAbility to support off-shift, weekend, holiday, and emergency response work as requiredWorking ConditionsManufacturing and industrial environment with exposure to:Moving mechanical equipmentElectrical hazardsNoiseTemperature variationsChemicals and industrial utilitiesAbility to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift maintenance tools and equipment as requiredBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
