Loader Operator
We are looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated hardworking individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, and extremely confident operating heavy equipment. To excel in this position, the candidate must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, and willing to work at a fast pace while maintaining the quality and accuracy set forth in the job expectations. The operator is responsible for properly moving pipes through all phases of the operation.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate large front-end loaders carrying poly-pipe and load them onto trucks
Transport bundles around the yard
Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements
Adhere to OSHA and yard safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations
Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories and report needed repairs to management
Perform duties with minimum supervision
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 years of loader operator experience in a pipe yard environment preferred
Ability to work in outdoor environments with potential exposure to dust, noise, and inclement weather conditions
Ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with effective communication
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls
Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
Must be able to climb on and off equipment to operate and service
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space
Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noisy conditions
Must be able to work at various heights
