Clinical Director of Crisis Services Position Overview The Clinical Director of Crisis Services will oversee the delivery of Crisis Services provided by members of the Mobile Crisis Teams and Crisis Line Counselors within Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties. The Clinical Director will work in tandem with the assigned Columbia Wellness Administrative Director to ensure these services are uninterrupted and that they are provided by trained crisis clinicians. The Clinical Director oversees the quality of services delivered and is a team member of the Continuous Quality Improvement program. Duties include development, implementation and monitoring of protocol, procedure, and practice. The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring all team members are cognizant of current policies and procedures. The Clinical Director is responsible for compliance to all applicable Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and federal laws. The Clinical Director has supervisorial and direct service responsibilities directed at prevention of, and early intervention in, crises. Summary of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities Effective use of technology and software including but not limited to: computers, phones, email, EMR, etc. Oversees the quality of mental health services delivered to the service recipients of Columbia Wellness. Develops service components and service delivery pathways. Develops, implements, and monitors team protocol, procedures, and practice. Completes mandatory reporting of achievements, activities within department, and contractual obligations. Complies with additional requests. Work with Administrative Director to interview and hire new staff. Ensures staff are properly trained in clinical duties and current policies and procedures, as well as that they are competent to perform their duties. Reviews clinical documentation and approves services in a timely manner. Conducts performance evaluations with Department Administrator. Practices risk management. Represents the crisis department to the local communities. Be helpful, respectful, approachable and team-oriented. Effective time management including but not limited to: planning ahead where possible, be punctual in person and with work performed. Build strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and embrace continuous improvement. Complete all documentation, reporting, and other paperwork per agency standards. Coordinates with the Chief Clinical Officer and other Columbia Wellness Officers to oversee the delivery of services and the financial status of the crisis programs. Attend and participate in appropriate staff, medical, organizational, and external meetings. Attend collateral meetings with other clinical staff when requested. Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Provide clinical supervision to all crisis staff. Maintain a working knowledge of current Washington State Statutes applicable to the program. Participate with contract development and contract compliance. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: The Director must possess a master's degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited program. Must be fully licensed Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State, with 2 years post-licensure experience. The Director must have a minimum of five years’ experience in the treatment of individuals in behavorial health. Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional as identified in WAC 246-341-0515. Must be an effective communicator who encourages professional growth and promotes change on behalf of program goals. Must receive Washington State Approved Supervisor Training. Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Depending on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
