Cardiology - Noninvasive Physician

Non-Invasive Cardiologist (MD/DO) Position Summary The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of heart disease using non-invasive testing modalities. This role emphasizes outpatient and inpatient consultative care, preventive cardiology, and longitudinal management of cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disordersProvide outpatient cardiology clinic care and inpatient consultation services as neededPerform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies such as transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic), ambulatory rhythm monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicableDevelop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plansManage cardiovascular medications and monitor treatment effectiveness and safetyParticipate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiativesCollaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, and other specialistsEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, lifestyle modification, and disease preventionMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiativesSupervise and educate residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers as applicableComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency programCompletion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowshipBoard-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular DiseaseAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensureDEA registration or eligibility Skills and Competencies Expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics and medical managementStrong clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning skillsExcellent communication and patient counseling abilitiesAbility to manage complex and chronic cardiovascular conditionsCommitment to evidence-based, high-quality patient care Work Environment Outpatient cardiology clinics, diagnostic testing laboratories, and inpatient hospital settingsCall coverage as determined by practice or service needs Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout clinic and hospital environmentsManual dexterity for examinations and diagnostic testingVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for interpretation of diagnostic studies
