CNC Water Jet Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Abrasive Waterjet Operator to set up, operate, and maintain abrasive waterjet cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate abrasive waterjet cutting machines to cut a variety of materials (metal, stone, composites, plastics, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, work orders, and technical drawings
Load programs, adjust machine parameters, and verify correct cutting paths
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs
Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and tolerance requirements
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards
Communicate with supervisors, engineers, or team members regarding job status or issues
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred
Previous experience operating abrasive waterjet equipment preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with CNC controls and software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]
Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Work Environment
Manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
Exposure to noise, water, abrasive materials, and heavy machinery
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
