This role is responsible forthe hands-on execution, management, and coordination of maintenance for a fleet ofcommercial passenger vehicles. The Maintenance Lead will own the scheduling and reviewof all vehicle maintenance with in-house and 3rd party maintenance providers, while activelyperforming repairs and reviewing all repair details and costs. Responsibilities also includecontrolling roadside response efforts and overseeing all regulatory compliance inspections forthe organization's fleet.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDiagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs (e.g. adjust/test steering,electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, powersteering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulatingcomponents, adjust/test/rebuild engines etc.) and related assigned duties withinqualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial and localGuidelines And RequirementsOversee and comply with local WeDriveU maintenance and safety SOPs, locallyapplicable public authority legislation, regulation and standards, ensuring thatmaintenance staff follow themUtilize and oversee the local use of WeDriveU Maximo (Asset Management) ERPapplication by maintenance facility staff to accurately record and track maintenancework orders and parts inventoryManage preventive maintenance and “unscheduled” repairs for the vehicles servicedby this facilityRepresent the maintenance activity at the local level in its interaction, communicationand coordination of activities with other local operations functions: driver care, routeoperations, and customer careSupervise the maintenance staffPerform advanced diagnostics including electrical, HVAC, braking, suspension,drivetrain, and engine systemsLead and assign daily work to maintenance techniciansEnsure compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant shop environmentPerforms road calls and on the road repairs as assignedAdditional duties and responsibilities may apply.
