Software Developer (Angular, .NET (C#), and SQL Server stack)Duration: long-term contractor ( 12 months+)Saybrook, Connecticut (Remote)Must be eligible to work on U.S. government contractsThis position is 4 hours per day – Mon-Fri. 16 hours per week. PART-TIMEMust be US Citizen.This opportunity would be ideal for someone who can work remotely or in a hybrid capacity if they are located in Connecticut (preferably near the Old Saybrook area). We are also open to fully remote candidates residing in states where we do not have an office location.Summary DescriptionThe Software Developer performs a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing under general supervision. Ideal candidate will have expert level proficiency in Angular, .NET (C#), at least one ORM framework, and Microsoft SQL. Candidate will also have experience analyzing existing programs and translating current functionality and business requirements into new or modified applications and programs. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GIT, and Kendo UI is a plus.Specific duties are listed below but are not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of responsibilities that are or may later be assigned. The employee is expected to perform any duties required by the Firm to insure its successful operation.– Duties & Responsibilities• Codes, tests and troubleshoots programs utilizing the appropriate programming technology.• Maintains and modifies programs; makes approved changes by amending flow charts, develops detailed programming logic, and coding changes.• Tests and develops programming modifications.• Writes new code using prescribed specifications.• Analyzes performance of programs and takes actions to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.• Able to discuss requirements with users and be able to propose workable solution.• Be able to train users with new updates or changes to existing systems• Writes, maintains and updates programming documentation.• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.• Provides technical assistance to staff in application and installation of software packages.• Writes complex programs for system management.• Participates in standup meetings and code reviews.• Analyzes existing systems and revises the procedures and/or programs as necessary to resolve difficulties or accommodate changes in systems requirements or equipment configurations.• Codes job control instructions.• Assists in determining the causes of application malfunctions.• Analyzes test runs on applications to determine required corrections of coded program input data.• Revises or directs revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.Production Standards & ExpectationsProduction and quality standards are set forth by Policy and Procedure and in specific Statements of Work and government contracts. Demonstrates reliability.• Maintains strict confidentiality of all clients and the firm business.• Becomes familiar with client names and industries.• Maintains high quality work while meeting strict deadlines.• Works hours as specified by contract obligations.Skills & Qualifications• Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills• Experience programming in an Angular, .NET (C#), and SQL Server stack.• 3+ years’ experience with Angular 2 with exposure to 17+.• 3+ years’ experience with object-oriented programming languages including C# and ASP.NET.• Demonstrated experience creating, analyzing, and modifying application code.• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.• Accuracy and attention to detail and ability to analyze issues as they arise.• Knowledge of Medicare, managed care, or insurance strongly preferred.• Not currently sanctioned or excluded from the Medicare program by the OIG.• Working knowledge of Office365 and SharePoint.The following skills are sought but not required:• EntityFramework, Azure DevOps, Git, Kendo UI, or Unit Testing experience.
