Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Behavioral Health (Child & Adolescent Unit)Location: Syracuse, NY 13210Pay Rate:Local: $1,552/weekTravel: $1,880/weekPosition DetailsSpecialty: Behavioral Health - Child & Adolescent UnitShift: Day Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts)Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PMSchedule: Every other weekend and some holidays requiredPosition Overview"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. The LPN will provide direct nursing care and clinical support for patients ages 5-17 in an inpatient behavioral health setting.The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric or adolescent patients and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient CareProvide direct nursing care to pediatric and adolescent behavioral health patientsAssist physicians and registered nurses with examinations and treatmentsMonitor and document vital signs and patient progressObserve patient responses to treatment and report changes to nursing staffClinical SupportPrepare patients for examinations and proceduresSet up trays and supplies for injections and proceduresAdminister injections as directedMaintain clean and organized clinical areasDocumentation & CoordinationDocument patient care activities in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Follow established nursing care plansCoordinate with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient needsCommunicate effectively with patients and familiesAdministrative SupportAssist with appointment scheduling and patient receptionPrepare charts and patient documentationCoordinate insurance authorizations and referrals when requiredSupport daily nursing unit operationsRequired QualificationsActive New York State LPN/LVN LicenseMinimum 1 year of nursing experienceCPR Certification (or ability to obtain)Experience working with children and adolescents (ages 5-17)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently in an acute care environmentFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
