The company operates as a certified Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE) in Los Angeles County and a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in California, reflecting its strong regional presence and commitment to local projects.Role Description This is a full-time Mechanical Engineer role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The Mechanical Engineer will support MEP design projects by performing mechanical system calculations, preparing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with electrical and plumbing disciplines. Daily responsibilities include developing and reviewing mechanical layouts, selecting equipment, performing load calculations, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves collaborating with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to clarify requirements, respond to requests for information, and resolve design challenges. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to project documentation, support site visits and field inspections as needed, and assist in continuous improvement of design standards and processes.QualificationsStrong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.Hands-on proficiency and experience with Revit for creating and modifying mechanical drawings and models.Ability to contribute to Project Management activities, including scheduling, coordination, and progress tracking.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and guidelines (e.g., ASHRAE, local building codes).Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to attend on-site meetings and field visits in the Los Angeles area.Please apply on our website at https://www.a-3-eng.com/careers
