This role focuses on high-quality fabrication and system integration within commercial and industrial environments, supporting product development, manufacturing, and testing operations.The ideal candidate will operate with minimal supervision, execute technically complex tasks, and support full lifecycle hardware activities—from fabrication through integration, validation, and delivery.Why Join Us?Innovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.Collaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.Work EnvironmentLocation: On-site R&D Lab, (*No Telework/hybrid arrangements available)Work hours: 0600-1430, with some overtime, based on mission needsTravel Requirements: 5-10%Working Hours: StandardBasic Compensation$98,000 - $125,000 USD annuallyThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical / ElectronicsPerform assembly, integration, and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical systemsExecute high-quality soldering and cable/harness fabricationConduct electrical testing including continuity and voltage verificationTroubleshoot PCB-level, wiring, and system-level issuesProficient in the use and operation of soldering stations, reflow ovens, and coating equipmentInterpret schematics and wiring diagramsMechanical / HardwareFabricate and assemble mechanical components and systemsPerform troubleshooting, repair, and modification of assembliesSupport equipment installation and maintenanceConduct preventive maintenance and inspectionsRead and interpret blueprints and work instructionsOperate material handling equipment as requiredWork closely with a small team to execute fast paced, short timeline projects, both individually and as a team.Required QualificationsActive/Current DoD Secret clearance requiredHigh school diploma with 10+ years of experience OR an Associate’s degree with 8+ yearsExperience in commercial manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings and schematicsExperience with diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)Preferred QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearanceIPC J-STD certification or equivalentExperience with conformal coating or finishing processesForklift or material handling certificationDemonstrated ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teamsFamiliarity with Space Flight hardware.Ready to Make a Difference?If you are excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
