This role owns core infrastructure, identity, network, and disaster recovery platforms, ensuring systems are secure, highly available, and resilient.This position serves as the technical owner of key platforms, including Nutanix virtualization, Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Unitrends backup and disaster recovery, FortiGate firewalls and wireless, Aruba switching, and Microsoft Active Directory. A strong emphasis is placed on business continuity, disaster recovery (BC/DR), cloud integration, identity services, and network security.The Global Infrastructure and Systems Engineer partners closely with security, application, and service desk teams to lead infrastructure and cloud initiatives, enforce standards, strengthen resilience, and ensure uninterrupted business operations.ResponsibilitiesOwn and operate global hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and Azure, including virtualization, storage, replication, and capacity planningDesign, implement, and test backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies for on‑prem and cloud workloads to meet RPO/RTO objectivesServe as technical owner for Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID integration, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and RADIUS, enforcing authentication and access controlsOwn and manage enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless) supporting both on‑prem and Azure connectivityManage FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and secure hybrid connectivityLead troubleshooting and recovery for critical infrastructure, cloud, identity, and network incidentsMaintain infrastructure and cloud security, patching, monitoring, and documentationAct as a senior escalation point and provide technical leadership across infrastructure and cloud projectsQualifications5+ years of enterprise infrastructure or systems engineering experienceStrong hands‑on expertise in virtualization, BC/DR, and backup/recoveryAdvanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, and identity servicesProven experience with FortiGate firewalls, wireless, VPNs, and enterprise networkingStrong understanding of networking, security, and disaster recovery principlesExcellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross‑team communication skillsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced experience with FortiGate security features, such as SD‑WANExposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including hybrid identity or hybrid networking scenariosExperience with infrastructure monitoring and logging platforms for proactive alerting and root cause analysisScripting or automation experience using PowerShell or similar tools to improve infrastructure operations and consistencyRelevant technical certifications are a plus, such as:Fortinet (NSE or equivalent)Microsoft (Windows Server Administrator, Identity and Access Administrator)Compensation InformationRange- $93,000-140,000 based on experience.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
