Vice President of Artificial Intelligence

Title: VP of AIType: Full-time, Direct HireVisa: W2 Only - USC or GC HolderLocation: Remote, or local to Charlotte, NCSalary: $250-$500KOptomi, in partnership with a BioPharmaceuticals company, is seeking a VP of AI to join their team. The Vice President, AI Center of Excellence (CoE), Enterprise Systems will be responsible for operationalizing the enterprise AI-First strategy and driving the delivery of both transformational and operational AI initiatives across different business units. This person will be leading AI delivery and execution across BioPharma - 3Billion dollar vertical as well as the Lab Systems business which is a 10Billion Dollar vertical. Oversight with:Agentic AIGenerative AIBuild teams to deliver business solutionsAI ArchitectureUnderstanding of AI platformsThis role will work in close collaboration with senior business and IT stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are effectively implemented and deliver measurable business outcomes. Reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Systems, the position will own end-to-end delivery of the AI components of the Enterprise Systems project portfolio, including ideation, intake management, use-case identification, evaluation and prioritization, solution design, development, deployment, and ongoing lifecycle management. The role will work in close partnership with project delivery managers and the Delivery CoE, collaborating with development and QA teams responsible for non-AI solution components such as UI/UX and data engineering. In addition, the role will work closely with the Enterprise AI Architecture and other enterprise IT teams (Architecture board, Security, Infrastructure, etc.) to ensure alignment with enterprise tools, standards, and best practices, and to implement AI solutions in accordance with established enterprise guidelines.
