We pride ourselves on small class sizes, strong relationships, and a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Position Overview:Windham Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Middle School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of middle school students. This educator will be committed to differentiated instruction, fostering student independence, and maintaining high expectations while supporting students during this important developmental stage.Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in assigned content area(s) (e.g., English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and/or Social Studies)Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and developmental needs of middle school studentsFoster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and student voiceUse formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisionsSupport students in developing organizational, executive functioning, and independent learning skillsCollaborate with grade-level team members, special educators, and support staff to ensure student successCommunicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activitiesParticipate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiativesImplement consistent and effective classroom management practicesMaintain accurate records of student progress and required documentationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)Valid New Hampshire Middle School certification or subject-area certification, or eligibility to obtain certificationStrong knowledge of adolescent development and middle school instructional practicesExperience with differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making preferredStrong classroom management and organizational skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environmentPreferred Qualifications:Certification in specific content area(s) (ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies)Experience working in a charter school or innovative educational settingFamiliarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)Experience collaborating with education staff and implementing accommodationsCommitment to continuous professional growthWhat We Offer:Supportive and collaborative school communityOpportunities for professional growth and leadershipCompetitive salary and benefits packageMeaningful opportunity to positively impact students during their middle school years
