Key facts Location: Bellingham, Washington Engagement: Full-time Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience Visa: Sponsorship available for qualified candidates What you'll do Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop wireless and microwave communication systems tailored to client specifications. Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess the suitability of locations for wireless installations. Assist in the configuration and optimization of network equipment, ensuring maximum performance and reliability. Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of network issues, providing timely support to clients and internal teams. Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures to maintain accurate records for future reference. Engage in testing and validation of new technologies and equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements. Support project management efforts by contributing to timelines, resource allocation, and project deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing infrastructure and systems. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in wireless and microwave communications. Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff, enhancing their understanding of wireless systems. Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients, showcasing Startouch's capabilities and solutions. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in wireless or microwave network engineering, preferably in a professional setting. Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, including LTE, 5G, and microwave transmission technologies. Proficiency in network design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, RF planning tools, or similar applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members clearly and effectively. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Willingness to travel for site surveys and installations as required. Nice to have Experience with network simulation and modeling tools, enhancing design accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to wireless communications. Certifications such as CCNA, CWNP, or similar credentials that demonstrate expertise in networking. Previous experience in project management or coordination, providing insight into effective project execution. Skills & tools Proficient in using network analysis and monitoring tools to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for automation and data analysis tasks. Strong understanding of RF principles and propagation models to inform system design decisions. Experience with network security practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of communication systems.
