Service/Install Technician
Position SummaryResponsibilities will include installing, servicing, and repairing pedestrian power/automated doors and glass panels, and ensuring service is completed efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate may also assist with outside sales.Use electrical, mechanical, and electronic skills; knowledge and understanding of products, power and hand tools to complete required service and repair tasks.Drive to the jobsite to assess customer's service/repair needs and complete repair of the product to the customer's satisfaction.Consistently seek and promote opportunities for service, sales, and preventative maintenance contracts. Acquire knowledge of all products and pricing to price, market, and sell replacement products and repair parts.Develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with product requirements for installation materials to meet safety specifications and maintain quality workmanship.Ensure that service-related docs and timesheets are completed and submitted accurately and in a timely manner.Collect COD's when applicable; solve problems with collections or scope of work changes.Maintain inventory on truck. Know all parts, part numbers, and part descriptions.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsCustomer service orientation and strong work ethicsAbility to work hard with an eye for qualityExperience in outside sales is a plusHighschool Diploma or Equivalency2 to 3 years' experience installing and servicing pedestrian power doorsStable background in glass installation industry and knowledge of power doorsValid driver's license requiredAAADM certification is a plusWork is performed at customer sites with exposure to extreme weather conditions; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards. This is an active role that includes traveling and significant driving. Hours of work will vary including being in an on-call rotational schedules for after hours and weekend work. In addition, office equipment such as a computer and cell phone are used. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds regularly.Powered by JazzHR
