Systems Reliability Operator (International Remote Hire) Georgia; Sri Lanka; UzbekistanMEMX is searching for a Systems Reliability Operator who will be responsible for providing support for MEMX exchange platforms during the US overnight shift.Shift time for this role will be:Sunday 10 pm ET to Monday 8 am ETMonday 10 pm ET to Tuesday 8 am ETTuesday 10 pm ET to Wednesday 8 am ETWednesday 10 pm ET to Thursday 8 am ETThursday 10 pm ET to Friday 8 am ETWhat You'll DoResponsible for providing support of MEMX exchange platforms including on-call, respond to incidents and support triaging the issueHelp isolate and resolve unplanned system outagesWork with cross-functional teams to support the availability of all MEMX exchange platforms. This includes market operations, systems, networking and development teamsHelp improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades) by identifying areas which need improvementDocument every action so that the findings turn into repeatable actions which eventually can be automatedDebug issues as they arise, across the different services and interaction pointsEnhance monitoring and alerting based on symptomsRun nightly processes that are essential to exchange operations. We automate as much as possible but there are processes that require a level of manual input and attentionRequirementsGood understanding of Linux and know your way around Linux ShellMid to advanced Linux administration, scripting skillsProficiency in Bash scripting skillsProficiency in a configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)Experience with monitoring toolsFamiliar with incident tracking / ticketing systems and escalation procedures2 years or more of experience in an operation support role with incident responseHighly curious, driven and have attention to detailSeek problems to solve so to help make the platform betterStrong urge to collaborate and improve existing processesHave an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fastTrading and/or exchange experience a plus but not requiredShare our values and work in accordance to those valuesBenefitsAt MEMX you will have the ability to work with a talented team of professionals who bring diversity of thought and background.
