Job DescriptionTwo Hands Hospitality is hiring a Head Chef for our restaurant in the Factory, opening in fall 2024 and serving breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner.Two Hands Hospitality is a group of community-focused Australian restaurants. Serving breakfast through dinner, we fuel your lifestyle with fresh, delicious food, cocktails, and coffee.We are a fast-growing, innovative hospitality group with three restaurants in NYC, locations in Nashville, Austin, and Denver, and more on the horizon. At Two Hands, our goal is for our ingredients to come from local farms to support our communities in Colorado, New York, Texas, and Tennessee.The candidate will work alongside the group executive chef, GM, and CEO to manage and execute daily kitchen operations. The head chef’s goal will be to ensure that standards of quality and financial parameters are met so that customers enjoy a superior experience and business runs as required.RequirementsManagement experience in restaurants similar to our concept or comparably fast-paced, high-volume, and innovativeAbility to work with and implement direction from core management teamAdvanced knowledge of and willingness to work all stations in a professional kitchen, prep and line (larder, grill, fry, expo)Understanding of and ability to manage financial requirements of a kitchen: COGS, portion control, recipe costing, invoice monitoringMature leadership, teamwork, and people management skillsValid Tennessee food handlers cardPunctualityExcellent knife skillsAbility and willingness to lead, have fun, and work well with a teamA love for food and willingness to try new foodsPRINCIPAL DUTIESCreate and follow detailed recipes, prep schedules, and systemsIn conjunction with the executive chef, plan, create, and execute menus for each restaurant location according to seasonality, trends, and brandPlan, create, and execute menus for on- and offsite catering eventsManage training and performance, following and executing training protocols and systemsMaintain a high level of cleanliness and organization which exceeds DOH standards at all times (labeling, rotation of stock, cleaning self-managed workstations, adherence to recycling and environmental protocols and cleaning schedules and processes)Identify and repair minor kitchen maintenance issues; report and seek repair of equipment from manufacturer, service reps, or techniciansBenefits And CompensationMinimum starting salary of $80k (negotiable depending on experience)$5,000 annual bonus, paid out biannually, dependent upon performance reviewsPaid vacation timeSick leaveHealth insurance available after 3 monthsA 50% employee discount for you and up to four guests on food and drinks when dining outside of work hoursPositive, collaborative work environmentOpportunity to grow and assist in the growth of Two Hands nationallyInterstate management opportunitiesMoving stipend*Please include a cover letter, resume showing employment for at least the past seven years, and three contactable professional references from within the past two years or previous two management positions.If moving is required, Two Hands will reimburse the cost of the move up to an agreed-upon amount.
